Castings

Organic gardeners have long prized organic worm castings as an ideal additive to enrich their soil, providing everything plants need for healthy growth. Worm castings are known to have an extraordinary effect on plant life. Organic worm castings improve the soil structure and increase fertility making them the most enriching soil conditioner available. Worm Castings will not burn when applied directly to the most delicate plants. They are also water soluble, making their nutrients immediately available as plant food. Worm Castings can be used indoors and outdoors on any and all plants, trees, shrubs and lawns.

Worm Castings are rich in what plants need:

  • Nitrogen
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium
  • Phosphorus

Worm Fancy can help you start creating your own vermicompost from your kitchen scraps or if you are interested in purchasing vermicompost we can supply your organic gardening needs.  We sell our worm castings in two grades.  Our course grade worm castings are screened through a 1/4-inch screen and may contain small quantities of worms and cocoons.  The course grade is great for mixing with potting soil to start seedlings or spread onto your garden.  Our fine grade worm castings are screened through an 1/8-inch screen and are perfect for spooning onto existing plants, into house plants or making vermicompost tea to water your plants or garden.  Our castings are sold in zip lock bags for easy opening and closing with instructions included.

Tammy and I would just like to thank you for your professionalism and patience in answering all our questions about vermiculture. We are very interested in the difference it will make in our garden this year. Even our son will be using the new Worm Factory 360 in his science fair project that compares plants with and without worm castings. We're already noticing the better health with it. Our time with you was pleasant and we will be sure to return! Thank you again and we'll keep you posted. composted. :D

I picked my worms today and it sure looks like a lot more than 2 pounds worth. I ordered a pound from another vendor and you gave me 5 times more than they did.
